Providing a critical understanding of full costing and developing practical skills to optimize profits through strategic management of product contribution margins: this is the objective of the third edition of the course organized by Umbria Business School, entitled “From Costing to Pricing: tools for price and margin management.”.
The course will be taught by Cristina Mariani, founder of Allinea, an adjunct professor at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, a business consultant and lecturer, editorial director of the “Impresa Diretta” series for Franco Angeli and author of numerous books on pricing, cost analysis and cash flow control.
The classes will be held remotely on Feb. 20 and 27 and March 6, 2026, for a duration of 4 hours each.
During the course, participants will gain knowledge and useful tools to distinguish and correctly apply different costing methods, understand their limitations, particularly those of full costing, and develop flexible and adaptable pricing strategies. Topics such as the impact of fixed costs on pricing, product margin differentiation, and strategic analysis aimed at profit maximization will be explored.
The training will adopt a theoretical-practical approach, with case study analysis and exercises on calculations and interpretations of costs and financial indicators. Participants’ decision-making skills will be stimulated through simulations and strategic scenarios.
